Canvas - Messaging Students from Within the Gradebook

Patricia and I were walking on the treadmills.  In between talking about "The Straight Man", Miley Cyrus' twerking her way on the VMA stage and how "Gravity" was not all that, we talked about our classes, students, and Canvas.

Patricia said: "Did you know that you can message students who have not turned in their assignments in Canvas?"  I said: "Yes, you can use the Inbox email." She said: "No, you can message them right there inside the Gradebook."

Here I thought I was the Canvas "expert."   She showed me after we went back to her office and I have been using it every since.  The following two image instructions should be self-explanatory

As you can see, you can message those who haven't submitted yet, or those who scored less than a certain score. You can also simply congratulate those high achievers. You can even just send out a reminder before it is due. What an efficient and helpful feature!
